So I came across Nikkipedia's blog post '90's Tag' and I just thought I totally have to get involved in this one. Go check it out. :)
I was born in 1990 so I definitely spent most of my childhood in the 90's so yes I qualify as a 90's kid thank you very much. I definitely think I'll enjoy filling this one out as I'm wearing my Chuckie (Rugrats) socks on.
Favourite TV Show
I absolutely loved coming home from school and sticking Nickelodeon on. I had so many favourites but probably Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Rugrats. Oh, and Saved by the Bell and Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Favourite 90’s song
C'Est La Vie by B*Witched and If Ya Gettin Down by 5ive
Favourite Commercial/Advertisement
I actually don't know. I need to be like reminded of the adverts from back then. Only one that springs to mind is the Coco Pops! "I'd rather have a bowl of Coco Pops".

NSYNC or Backstreet Boys
Hmmmm. I wasn't actually a massive fan of either of them, I liked a few songs from each but I'd probably pick Backstreet Boys. Backstreet's back ALRIGHT!

Did you collect anything back then and what did you collect?
Definitely. Does Barbies count? I did collect Beanie Babies though and I'm sure I still have them all somewhere. And pens. Which I guess is still something I do.

How many Tamagotchi’s did you go through?

Favourite Video Game & Console?
I got to play the SEGA for a bit but my console was the SNES. Like I want that mini one that's currently out and is pre-loaded with a bunch of games. Yoshi's Island was amazing, Toy Story and Donkey Kong Country.

Favourite Cereal/Cereal Free Toy
It's a toss up between Coco Pops and Wheetos which I still eat to this day because they are amazing. I remember getting toys but I don't remember being all that fussed about them to be honest. I liked it when you sent away tokens and got bowls or something though.

What were your favourite toys would you play with?
I had so many Barbies it was ridiculous. Had like a Barbie house and cars and everything to go with Barbies. I kind of loved creating a wee world for them and turning my whole room into their world and then I would have to spend forever tidying it all away. I spent less time actually giving them storylines (I did this with the Sims too in a way).

Nickelodeon
What early morning/Weekend TV Shows would you watch?
SMTV: Live was my favourite. You would get Pokemon and Chums. Then after that I would watch The Tribe (some show from New Zealand that I loved) and then Dawson's Creek (which I was probably too young for at the time).
Favourite McDonald’s Happy Meal Toy
I remember they had brought out these little Beanie Baby toys and I made my mum take me to McDonald's so I could get them all. My favourite was the Koala bear one which I named KoochiKoo.

What would you watch when you got home from school?
I'd sometimes watch stuff on ITV or BBC such as The Worst Witch and ZZZaap!! But then I'd watch stuff on Nickelodeon. If only we had the ability to record shows back then. I'd be set for days.

What was your favourite thing from the 90’s thats no longer available today?
There was these chocolate UFO shaped things that were filled with strawberry yoghurt. Think they were Dr Oetker. They were so bloody good and I miss them so damn much. I sometimes ask other people if they remember them and not many do.

Did you grow up in the 90's? What were your favourite things? I'd love to see your answers if you do the tag so link me to them if you do. Thanks for reading. I really enjoyed doing this post.
So today I thought I would do a wee post on having psoriasis and answer a few questions about it.
When did I find out I had psoriasis? / How long have I had it for?
In 2004/2005 when I was about 14/15 so it's been about 12 years now. I was swimming with my best friend and when we went into the showers she noticed I had redness around my hairline. At the time we thought it might have been a reaction to the chlorine. A few months later though and the redness started to appear on my knees, elbows and scalp. Along with the redness came along the flaky skin. My mum already recognised what it was as my gran had it. She took me to the doctors though and they were like "yeah that's psoriasis alright" and gave me moisturiser and a special shampoo which kept it at bay for a wee while. I stopped using it however into my later teens and it gradually got worse over the years into my early 20's.
How do I look after it now?
A couple of years ago I decided it was time to get it under control again because it was really effecting me. The doctors put me on a Dovobet Gel, Aveeno cream and Hyrdocortison cream. All of these together seem to really work at the moment however they have switched my Dovobet Gel to some new creams and I haven't tried them yet but will do when the gel runs out. I really hope that they work just as positively as the gel has done. So currently I'll use my Aveeno cream in the morning and sometimes other times during the day if my skin gets dry and then before I go to bed I apply my gel and hydrocortison. I also try to drink plenty of water and get out in the sun as much as I can in a country that's famous for it's rain. I've heard about diets and taking supplements but I've not tried any of them yet and I wouldn't rule out trying them but it's not for me at the moment.
Do you find it hard to date/have a relationship?
This is something I don't actually have much problems with. When my psoriasis was at it's worst it was in places that could be covered up with like cardigans, tights etc. Probably one of the reasons why Autumn/Winter is my favourite time of year. I still managed to go on dates or be in relationships. Sure I would be mega nervous to reveal my skin but honestly... they didn't mind it. They may have been curious sure. But they were never horrible about it. I was in a relationship with this guy who used to say things like "awh I wish there was something I could do" and I'm sure he meant well but it felt like he felt sorry for me and it didn't sit right with me. My current boyfriend has asked about it but he doesn't make a big deal out of it. Probably helps that my skin is actually doing pretty well at the moment.
What is the worst experience you've had with psoriasis?
I don't think I could pinpoint one moment. There's been times where people have thought my psoriasis was dandruff and don't understand even after telling them. There's been times where it's been extremely painful with like a burning sensation or it's been cracking and bleeding. I think just finding out it was something I had, that there was no absolute cure for it and that it was something I was going to have to live with.
How does it effect you?
I mostly just get on with it. At first it knocked my confidence right down and felt like there were things I couldn't wear, I stopped going swimming and it definitely made me a bit of a recluse. It got better as time went on but I would still have my bad days where I would look in the mirror and if I saw a patch of red or flaky skin I would immediately want to go straight back to my bed. It was awful. Those bad days have become less and less as the years have went on and the more supportive people I have in my life. I think with age people become more understanding, you inform them and it really is ok. I still have a bad now every one and now. Especially when the patches are close to my face or my lower part of my arm.
Anything else?
Omg! Yes! Bed sheets. Buying bed sheets is a royal pain in my arse. Light ones means that if you do scratch and bleed whilst sleeping the blood is likely to show up on the sheets. Dark sheets means that the flaky skin ends up showing up on the sheets so you can't really win haha. I still opt for dark sheets most of the time though. I also used to sleep with cardigans on because I hated the plaques on my skin so much. That's stopped now and have only done it when I'm cold when I go to bed.
If there are any other questions you'd like to ask about psoriasis or want to know then go ahead. Or tell me about your own experiences with psoriasis or any other condition.

What is your middle name?
My
middle name is Kimberley. For a very long time I much preferred my middle name
to my first name.
What was your favourite subject at school?
At
primary school I loved writing my little short stories and learning about the Egyptians
and other countries. When I went to high school not much had changed. English
was my favourite along with history and modern studies. Funnily enough I went
on to do Social Sciences.
Where are you from?
I live in this town that's like between Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland, UK. I absolutely hate the town but I guess it's home and it is good for one thing. Public transport and getting to somewhere else you want to be.

What is your favourite drink?
I’m
not into alcoholic drinks all that much. My favourite drink at the moment is
caramel lattes. Which is completely strange because I didn’t like coffee up
till a couple of months ago.
What is your favourite song at the moment?
I
absolutely love music so picking one song at the moment is quite hard. Right
now I’m listening to a lot of Fleetwood Mac, Paramore, Twin Atlantic and
Imagine Dragons. Also been listening to this group called Flight of the
Conchords which was a TV show and Business Time is constantly on repeat. So
that or The Chain by Fleetwood Mac.
What
is your favourite food?
Ooooh.
I love steak pie. Like if I have that it will always put me in a good mood.
Recently also Chris and I have been cooking a lot and I have finally perfected
homemade chips.
What is the last thing you bought?
Ehm. Tickets to and from Edinburgh to visit Chris. Oh, double sided tape for my scrapbook and a large caramel latte with a brownie. Nothing all that interesting.
Favourite
book of all time?
So predictable but Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Favourite
colour?
Purple.
I also like red.
Do you have any pets?
I
don’t but I would really like a dog someday. When my brother stayed with us he had a dog Rocky but my brother has his own life and obviously Rocky is with him. I still get to see him from time to time.
Favourite perfume?
I love Lady Gaga's Fame but I haven't worn that in over a year.
Favourite
holiday?
So
last year in 2016 I went to New Zealand for a month to visit my best friend and
it was one my favourite trips ever. It was definitely a trip of a lifetime.
Are you married?
Nope.
Have
you ever been out of the country?
Yes
a few times.
Do
you speak any other language?
Nope.
I used to be good at French at high school but since leaving I have slowly but
surely forgotten everything I learned.
How
many siblings do you have?
I
have an older brother. I also have two half-sisters and a half-brother on my
dad’s side but I don’t have much to do with them. As you can see below I love my brother very much. Haha.
What
is your favourite shop?
For
clothes probably H&M and sometimes I can’t deny going into Primark for bits
and bobs and for whenever I need leggings or plain t-shirts and their pyjamas.
I also love places like HMV, Waterstones and Paperchase. Ooooh Lush too.
Favourite restaurant?
There’s
a place in Glasgow called Paessano. There’s two but I prefer the one in the
West End. It does authentic Italian pizza and oh my. Best pizza ever. I also
really enjoy Wagamamas.
When was the last time you cried?
The Thursday that Chris dropped me off when he was
going through to Edinburgh to work at the Festival. I get so emotional in my old age now. Was trying to tell myself to pull myself together haha. At least it wasn't as bad as the time I cried at the airport when I was going to New Zealand without him for a month.
Favourite
place to be?
Apart from my bed? I like to be everywhere. I love
going on little roadtrips and adventures. So I guess I love being in the car
with Chris.
Favourite
movie?
Ahhhh
I don’t even know anymore. There's far too many. Beauty and the Beast, Wayne's World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Inglorious Basterds, and Memoirs of a Geisha.
Favourite
TV show?
Loving
Game of Thrones and Outlander at the moment. Flight of the Conchords is up
there too.

I love most animals. I always do that "awwwwh" thing whenever I see anything. My main favourites though are dogs, pandas, polar bears, penguins, elephants and meerkats.

What
phone do you have?
I
have an iPhone 6S which I only upgraded to a couple of months ago.
How tall are you?
I’m
not that tall. About 5’4 which is probably about average.
Can you cook?
Yeah I’m not too
bad at cooking actually. My skills have also improved over the last year and
always looking for new things to try now.
So today I'm just doing a wee question and answering thing about my childhood.
What year were you born?
I was born in 1990.
Do you have any pictures of yourself from when you were younger?
Yeah I have loads. My parents took loads of pictures if we went on holiday, family gatherings or day trips etc.
What TV shows did you grow up watching?
So I’ve always loved TV shows. When I was younger I used to watch Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, Rugrats, Pokemon, Hey Arnold, Gladiators, Keenan and Kel, The Worst Witch, Saved by the Bell, a show called The Tribe which was a show done in New Zealand, Rosie and Jim, and for some reason I used to sit and watch Casualty and Eastenders with my mum. Don’t really watch either of them anymore though. As I got a wee bit older I started watching Buffy and Friends.

What did you want to be when you were younger & do you still want to be that?
I used to want to be something to do with magazines. I used to create my own with articles, puzzles and pictures inside. For a very long time I did want to be a journalist so I guess it hadn’t changed much but I no longer want to do that.

Show a video of yourself, from when you were younger?
I would if I could.
I would if I could.
What were your favourite toys to play with?
Barbies hands down. I also used to like playing outside in the garden. My dad used to leave old paint pots outside that would fill up with rain water so I would go about the garden picking at flowers and plants and putting them in the pots pretending I was a witch and that was my cauldron.

Embarrassing thing you done when you were younger?
Hmmm. I was once playing on the wall in my garden and I slipped with my legs going either way over the wall meaning I had scraped my thighs pretty badly in between my legs. Couldn’t walk properly for a while.

Songs you loved to listen to as a child?
Oooh man. Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice. I was also very into those cheesy 90s pop bands like Spice Girls, Five, Steps and S Club 7.

What was one funny thing you dressed up for, for Halloween?
Never went as anything funny. I was pretty basic when it came to Halloween. Witch, Cat and a couple of times I went as Esmerelda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Tell us a funny story
So, one day my mum was picking me up from school. For some reason by older brother was there too. My mum was standing chatting to some of the other mums and my brother was sitting in the car. I went to get in but he had locked the doors from the inside. Prick. So I sat at the side and waited. My mum then just got into the car and started driving away without me. I tried to run and bang on the door but nothing. I went to sit back down and one of my classmates noticed and he waited with me. My mum noticed pretty quickly that I wasn’t in the car.

Any special things you have kept from your childhood?
I have a Beauty and the Beast jewellery box that I will probably never get rid of. Some of my cuddly toys and probably other things too.

Something weird you used to do as a child?
Maybe that stuff I mentioned with my dad’s paint pots.

Scariest thing that has happened to you as a child?
I was a bit older maybe about 10. But my friend who was a couple of years older than me was getting cheeky with these lads who were a good bit older than us. They ended up chasing us and we ran for a really long time. Or the time when I was in a car accident with my dad.

How is the world different now you are older?
Very different. Technology has advanced so much. I started off with the Sega and SNES and now it's just crazy and mobile phones and internet too. Personally I have more responsibilities now that I am classed as an adult. Also more aware of what is going on in the world. We think the world has so much horrible things going on but it wasn't any better when we were children and beforehand. It's just that we were never aware of it as children because we're busy playing and dreaming.

Think I realised I was more girly as a child than I definitely realised. The tomboyish phase must have been shortlived. I also definitely class myself as a 90's kid.
